Recently a list of supposedly confirmed MSN Messenger 8.0 features was published on the internet by several websites. While many sources were stating that the list was officially confirmed, it is believed that this is a list of featues that have been suggested and requested. No evidence exists that these features have been confirmed. Some items on the list include:

• Animated GIF MSN Display Pictures
• Built-in Support for MSN Messenger Skins
• A built-in version of Windows Media Player
• Deeper integration with Hotmail and MSN Spaces
• New pop-up notifyer styles
• Pause/Resume file transfers
• More details on file transfers, such as speed and time

Keep in mind that none of the above features has been confirmed yet, they are simply a suggested feature list for MSN Messenger 8.0.

No release date has been set for MSN Messenger 8.0 BETA (we're not even sure there will be a BETA, but it seems everything is going BETA these days). There are hints that may suggest a possible Christmas 2005 release, or some time within the first quarter of 2006.
